One Mid-Michigan woman's love for bingo is earning her national acclaim, and a jackpot that she didn't know she won.That was until we helped surprise her.
They waited at her Davison home. "This will be terrible if its all for nothing," said Barbara Garchow.
And they waited some more, until they finally got the call.
It started as a hobby. It now makes her dreams come true. "Oh I'm so happy. I just prayed somethin' like this would happen."
Barbara Garchow has been playing Bingo for more than 25 years. Now she has finally won her big payoff.
"I'm just not used to having $50,000," she said.
She won the grand prize playing ABC's newest game, National Bingo Night, at home.
So what will she do with the money? "I always wanted to go to Hawaii," she said.
But she'd rather spend it on something else.
"Helping my kids. That's probably...the best thing I'll do," she said. "I have a great family."
