Woman hits £100,000 bingo jackpot

A woman has won £100,000 at a bingo club that has had three big wins in three years.

The big win happened at the Flutters Bingo Hall, in College Street, Rushden, last Sunday when a regular customer claimed a full house on the national game.

The winner, aged 61 and from Rushden, who asked not to be identified, said: "At first I couldn't believe it had happened to me – it was a shock but I'm absolutely delighted."

Flutters acting manager Paul Norman said: "It was such a delight to see a regular customer, whose been coming here for 15 years, win such a huge amount.

"I was calling the game so it was extra-special for me when she called out 'House'.

"It's great that a small, friendly club like Rushden can have such a winning streak – we had a £100,000 winner last year and a £200,000 jackpot three years ago, so we're quite a lucky club."
