Bingo chiefs seek support over tax

MSPs have been urged to back a call for a change in the tax paid by bingo companies.

Industry leaders warned that the combination of unfair tax, the rise in online gaming and the smoking ban are threatening the future of the industry.

Sir Peter Fry, chairman of the Bingo Association, warned Holyrood's Public Petitions that mass closures could have far-reaching social consequences.
